FUTURE ROOTS NIGHT

[NL] The Future Of The Roots presenteert voor de eerste maal Future Roots Night, een club night toegewijd aan muziek zonder grenzen, aan de 'underground global dance' ritmes van over heel de wereld. Muziek is hetgeen ons allemaal verbind en dat willen we vieren!

[ENG] The Future Of The Roots presents its first Future Roots Night, dedicated to music without borders, to those underground global dance riddims from around the world, a celebration of music as the unifying global spirit.

[NL] De Brusselse DJ/producer Rafael Aragon zet zijn eerste stappen als live performer met een world ambient live concert.

[ENG] Cosmopolitan DJ/producer Rafael Aragon aka Rafiralfiro started mixing folkloric rhythms with electronics in his early twenties. As a dj his focus lays on latintronic, oriental bas and electronics influenced by Balkan and African sounds but for this event we’ll have the honour to be the first public to get a taste of his debut ambient oriented live set.

[NL] De Franse multi-instrumentalist Yeahman begon zijn carrière in 2017 met een duidelijke visie en wens om in zijn muziek verschillende muziekstijlen en ritmes van over de hele wereld te verzamelen.

[ENG] The French multi-instrumentalist Yeahman, began his musical career in 2017 with a clear desire and vision to gather different sounds and rhythms from all around the world. Several EP’s and a full length later he’s now identified as an artist in the vanguard of the global-electronic scene, alongside other exciting artists such as Nicola Cruz, Chancha Via Circuito and El Buho.

[NL] Lua Preta is zangeres MC Ms. Gia (Angola) en DJ/producer Mentalcut (Polen). Samen brengen ze een uitzinnige mix van futuristische elektronische muziek met Afrikaanse invloeden.

[ENG] Lua Preta is vocalist and MC Ms. Gia of Angolan descent and Polish DJ and producer Mentalcut. Together they bring a frenetic mixture of futuristic electronic music and African genres. Their fresh and unique sound led to 2018 being their breakthrough year with their biggest hit up to date being released ('Quero Mais' featuring Lesotho's Morena Leraba), their first official video being shot entirely in Lisbon and a round of live appearances on festivals and club shows across Europe.

[NL] DJ Kurup, geboren en getogen in Brazilië, onderzoekt met zijn sets waar de Zuid-Amerikaanse cultuur en de Europese club/rave muziek samenkomen. Genre: House, Afro Latin.

[ENG] Hailing from Brazil’s vast Cerrado region Kurup compositions sounds like a parade of fantastic creatures creeping across the forest floor: inexorable, mysterious, strangely alive. Being a diverse Dj and selector, the Brazilian born Kurup investigates the convergences of South American culture, club and rave music, delving into mystical and theatrical cadences. Kurup's melodies encompass an essence of encirclement by a lively, animated scenery, akin to the diverse tropical savannah of his native land.

[NL] Als DJ legt Rafael Aragon zijn focus op latintronic, oriental bass en electronica beïnvloed door Balkan en Afrikaanse muziek.

[ENG] We conclude our global dance with a dj-set from Rafael Aragon.
